Apply rules to control the way products appear in collections and search results pages. Use boost rules, drag-and-drop controls, and add promotional banners. Arrange by aesthetics, place matching products near each other, or promote your best-sellers to the top.

Create a collection or search page

Navigate to the "Merchandising" section of the app then click on Manage for Collection or Search

Once a page is created, the products will auto-populate based on the following:

  • Collection = products from the default Shopify collection

  • Search = products from the Relevance settings in the app

Create a collection or search page

Click on Add Collection Page (this also applies to Add Search Page)

  1. Select the Collection from the dropdown list or enter the Search term

  2. Enter a Title (optional)

  3. Select the Shopify Markets you want the collection displayed to (leave blank if you want it to display for all)

  4. Tick the Shared box if you want to link it to shared Shopify store (talk to us if you would like this setup)

  5. Click on the newly created Collection Page

Select relevant actions in the header

The buttons in the header focus on actions that are relevant to the page. This layout enables you to apply certain actions for the particular page that you're in, such as:

  • Search for a product in the page

  • Add a product

  • Add a callout

  • Pin products

  • Add boost rules

  • Add sorting

  • Apply to a specific market

  • And more...

In what ways can I configure my page?

Add more products to your page by clickingAdd >Product

You can Pin products to manually drag and drop products. Only pinned products can be positioned manually.

If you don't want Pin All, you can specifically pin a few products to the top of the page

Drag and drop pinned products within your page

In order for the drop and drag function to work, the particular product must be pinned first. By default, all products are not pinned as it allows the products' placement to be flexible based on what boost rules are applied to that page. Pinned products will always appear as a priority over boost rules.

Sort products within your page based onTag, Title,Price, and more.

Make sure to choose the direction of the sort. Choose between Ascending or Descending

Boost products by grouping them to the top of the page. As long as the product meets the criteria, the product will be part of the group. Thereby placing those products on the top.

You can also Add sub sort to the groupings to control the sort order of your groupings.

Boost based on Google Analytics data

Once connected, navigate back to the page preview, then boost products based on GA by using the dropdown and selecting your preferred time period.

Update your page settings to help you merchandise

Go to Collection or Search Page -> More -> Settings

Pagination

Update the columns and page size to visualise exactly how your merchandising will appear when your listing page changes depending on the device type (desktop or mobile).

Show more product info

Click More then scroll to Card Content

Each checkbox allows you to reveal more information about each product to help you decide where each product should be positioned in your page. This section allows you to choose to display important product information like variant availability, inventory, days since published, and more.

Switch product images while you merchandise

In page preview, you are able to switch between different images. Simply change the image based on the image position or file name.

  • Image position: Display product images based on their position number

  • Image name suffix: Display product images based on their filename (i.e, _lifestyle)

By changing the image type, the default image on the front-end won’t be impacted. This feature is simply a visual aid to help you merchandise your products based on aesthetics.

How do boosting rules work?

Boost rules work by grouping a particular set of products that meet the criteria. The criteria are set by you (the merchant). All products that meet the criteria will bring the set of products to the top.

Automate your collection ordering based on key attributes such as product type, sale, highest inventory, and earliest published date.

You can create as many groupings as you want by clicking Add boosting rule

Each group will apply in sequential order. The group that's closest to the top will apply first, then every group down the list will apply thereafter. The example below will apply Days since published first. Tags will apply next, and so forth.

You can reorder groupings based on any order you want.

The great thing about boosting rules is that you can apply rules. Then, customise individual products even further by hiding, or rearranging the products within the page.

Search for a Product Within a Page

  1. Go to Merchandising > Page

    1. Select the page you want to work with.

  2. Click the Search Button

    1. Find the search button within the page interface.

  3. Start Typing the Product Title, Handle, or ID

    1. As you type, the system will display an Autocomplete list with relevant products.

  4. Select Your Product

    1. Click on the product you want. It will take you directly to that product within the page.

Can I duplicate pages so they apply to another collection?

Yes. Save time setting up new pages by duplicating existing boosting rules and applying it to an existing page. After duplicating a page, you can modify the rules even further for a more tailored merchandise setup.
