People are naturally visual. So, these banners are a great way for adding diversity to what may have been a standard grid of products. Use callouts for promoting a special event, a new collection, or a specific product you're trying to sell.
Engage with your customers by inserting your banner into a slot within the product grid layout. Callout banners are designed to appear seamlessly within your category and search results pages.
You can easily create an image or video banner and completely customise where it appears, without the hassle of clunky HTML code.
Simply go to your Curation, click on Callouts, then select the callout. Once selected callout will appear in the grid interface. From here, you're able to position the callouts in their rightful place.
Anywhere in an existing curation. Simply drag and drop the curation tile and position accordingly.
Callout banners have the power to grab your customers' attention and influence their browsing patterns. As customers browse through the site, you can promote messages and strategically place them next to particular products to help drives sales.
You can apply the same callout banner to multiple curations to increase the exposure of your campaign. Simply navigate to each curation and select the banner from the callout banners ist.
Callouts can appear within the pinned section of a curation and so for a callout to appear on pages other than the first page you must pin more than one page worth of results.
Go to your Shopify Settings
Navigate to the Files
section, then click on Upload files
Once the files have finished uploading, they'll appear on the list. Click the link icon to copy and page the URL into the Link
field in your callout settings
You can style elements of your callouts by ensuring the following fields connect to your front end storefront. All styling to callouts will need to be configured by your front end developers.
In saying that, these fields are optional as some merchants simply use video and images.
In the Display
section, you can choose the number of columns and rows the callout banner will take up on the grid layout. The most common setting is 1 column and 1 row. However, this is entirely up to you. For big promotions, you may want the banner to take up the entire width of the grid, so in this instance, you would increase the number of columns to 3 or 4.
Visibility
gives you the option of whether the callout banner will be visible across all devices or specifically for desktop or mobile. Most merchants pick All
as default.
When making an update to an existing callout, you will need to republish the curation that contains the callout. By republishing the curation, the updates will appear on the front end.
